Ron Diprose aka ‘Dipper’ was instrumental in the community for many years building & maintaining, advocating for and protecting trails all over our region.  Dipper, of course, also loved to ride so many of our trails. He was instrumental as one of the founding directors with the cycling association and remained on the board for its entire entity while he was with us.

Dipper loved everything outdoors and was a career forester.  Ron passed away in July 2019 and the loss has been felt in the community ever since.  

In 2020 the Ron Diprose Memorial Scholarship fund was established in his memory and each year since then, a student entering into ecology, forestry, eco-tourism or natural sciences at university/college level is awarded the scholarship in his name.
