QRCA is hiring a Project Coordinator!
qathet Regional Cycling Association (QRCA) is seeking a Project Coordinator for a one-year contract to support the club in implementing the Mount Mahony Trail Network Project.
The time commitment will be variable, averaging 10-15 hours per week. However, due to the seasonal nature of the work, hours may vary throughout the year.
Responsibilities will include:
- Trail Management Planning: Complete the Mount Mahony Trail Management plan, including the trail maintenance and emergency response plans.
- Trail Information: Develop a Trail Signage Plan, identify required signs, order and install at trailheads and technical trail features.
- Volunteer Coordination: Coordinate resources and volunteer personnel for trail projects, develop a volunteer time tracking system, and facilitate the Mount Mahony Subcommittee.
- Liaison with Trail Construction Contractor(s).
- Develop a trail use measurement plan to track visitor use.
- Assist in project reporting to various funding sources.
- Participate in monthly QRCA board meetings.
- Review existing Section 57 Authorizations and assist with the development of current and future applications.
The successful candidate will report to the QRCA executive and will possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and in teams
- Knowledge of mountain biking and mountain bike trail construction
- Prior volunteer experience with QRCA is preferred
- GIS mapping skills would be an asset
Remuneration will be dependent on the applicant’s qualifications and experience and will range from $30-$40 per hour.
